Renaming of Senior Ryder Cup Division ‘G’
Harry Huizer has been the Senior Ryder Cup Captain of the Niagara on the Lake Golf Club since 2008.
Harry’s tenure is one of the longest in SRC history. He enjoys the support he receives from his Club and team mates which has made his Captain’s role enjoyable to the point he looks forward to continuing in the role for the foreseeable future.
Harry is well known by his fellow Niagara region competitors and has developed many friendships though his Senior Ryder Cup years. He enjoys the camaraderie and competition which is the hallmark of the Senior Ryder Cup.
In addition to the Senior Ryder Cup, Harry Captains his SRC team in an annual competition with his home club’s ladies Solheim Cup team.
To honor Harry, and his contributions to the Senior Ryder Cup, under SRC Bylaws: Section M ‘Naming of Regions & Division’ Part #1, Point #4 – ‘Club Representatives (Captains) who have served as a Captain of their Senior Ryder Cup team for a minimum of ten (10) years
The SRC Board have determined Harry has met the intent of the By Law and have unanimously voted to rename Division ‘G’ of the Niagara Region to the ‘Harry Huizer Division’.
The Senior Ryder Cup congratulates Harry on this recognition and wishes him many more years of participation in the Senior Ryder Cup.
