Summary comments:

Many thanks to our 4 Corporate Sponsors: Callaway Golf; Jackson-Triggs Wines; Visit Tucson; and Lexus of London. Their financial support subsidizes the cost of our Championship. If you have an opportunity to utilize any of these Sponsors, it would be much appreciated! Their logos and links to their respective websites are noted on the SRC website (

Our fiscal year 2019 concluded with a very small surplus which will be put to good use at next year’s SRC Championship.

SRC Board members were delighted to meet with Golf Canada CEO Laurence Applebaum at the SRC Board meeting on October 8th. Laurence was accompanied by Alison Richmond, Director of Human Resources for Golf Canada. See picture, below.

I’d like to thank our very committed and talented Directors (who also double as SRC Team Captains) for a successful 2019 Season and for their detailed Plans for an even better 2020! Each Director’s Responsibilities and key contact information are noted on our website (click ‘About Us” and click “SRC Board’).

On a final note, it is with great sadness that we note the passing of long time SRC player and internationally accomplished golfer, Fred Silver, of Niagara Falls Country Club. Among his multitude of accomplishments was the founding of the Senior Porter Cup in 1992. He won the legends division (70-and-over) of the Senior Porter Cup last month. This article from the Buffalo Evening News provides some insight into his illustrious career.

Good luck for a happy, healthy and successful 2020!
