Cutten Fields (GUELPH) Wins 2017 Senior Ryder Cup Championship
August 28th saw the 2017 Senior Ryder Cup Championship contested on London Highland's Stanley Thompson designed course. Cutten Fields 8-man team emerged victorious earning 21 of a possible 24 points in the match play competition. They were closely followed by Lookout Point with 19 points. London Highland and North Halton (Georgetown) each earned 18 points.

This is Cutten Fields second Championship win having been successful in the 2010 finals.
During the 2017 Senior Ryder Cup season over 800 matches were contested that saw sixteen teams qualify for the Championship day. Originating in 1999, the not for profit Senior Ryder Cup has become Canada's largest senior team competition. In 2017, there were 100 clubs participating from Ontario, New York and Michigan with more than 1200 players.
