2022 Mid-Season Update



 We are nearing completion of divisional play in most of the regions. We would like to take a moment to recognize some of those clubs advancing to the playoffs


In the Central Region:

  • Reg Finlayson Division – Congratulations to Oshawa which dominated and to The Country Club, in its final year of operation, made the playoffs for the first time.
  • Cliff Dobson Division – Congratulation to playoff host, Whitevale, and to Heritage Hills.
  • Division J – Congratulations to Thornhill and King’s Riding who won out in a very closely contested division
  • Rex Smith Division – Congratulation to Donalda and Rattlesnake Point again in a close contest.

In the East Region:

  • Division F – Congratulation to Hylands and to Renfrew which narrowly beat out eQuinelle for second place
  • Other contests in the East Region are very close at this time.

In the Georgian Region:  

  • Ken Dunlop Region – Congratulations to Victoria Park East and
  • Division Q – Congratulations to Osprey Links which has clinched a playoff spot.
  • Division P – Congratulations to Idylwylde and Timberwolf who will be going to the playoffs at Tangle Creek
  • Division R – Congratulations to St Marys who made a very strong showing and to Elmira who finished second

In the Niagara Region:  

  • Ralph Warren Division – Congratulations to Deer Ridge and Rolling Meadows who advance to the playoffs at Bridgewater.
  • Bill Brockel Division – Congratulations to Rebel Creek and second place
  • Dave Smith Division – In probably the closest of all divisions, Dundas Valley and Heron Point will be advancing to the playoffs.

In the South West Region:

  • All Divisions are still being contested at this time with many close competitions.

Revised Playoff Schedule – Please note changes:

  • Georgian Region – Tuesday August 16 at Tangle Creek Golf Club
  • Eastern Region – Friday August 19 at Brockville Country Club
  • Niagara Region – Monday August 22 at Bridgewater Country Club
  • Central Region – Monday August 29 at Whitevale Golf Club
  • Lexus of London South West Region - Wednesday August 31 at Westhaven Golf and Country Club


Sponsorship prizing at the SRC playoffs and SRC Championship

  • At the playoff locales of Westhaven, Bridgewater, Whitevale and Tangle Creek, our sponsor truLOCAL will have extensive sampling for all players. Each team at the SRC Championship will receive $400 vouchers for truLOCAL meat and/or seafood;


  • Participants will have the opportunity to win a vehicle for a hole in one at the Eastern Region Playoff at the Brockville C.C. (courtesy of Beattie Dodge), Lexus of London South West Region Playoff at Westhaven G.C. (courtesy of Lexus of London), Georgian Regional Playoff at Tangle Creek G.C. (courtesy of Acura Barrie) and two chances at the SRC Championship at Lookout Point G.C. (courtesy of Genesis Niagara and Performance Hyundai in St. Catharines).


  • Liam Card, of Steinberg Wealth Management will attend all playoff events and the SRC Championship where he will be offering a generous prize for closest to the pin at each one of these events.


  • Players from the winning teams at each playoff event will be awarded the Tilley ‘Clubhouse’ hat complete with SRC logo;


  • Mombacho Cigars will offer a box of cigars for closest to the pin at each playoff event and the SRC Championship;


  • Callaway Golf will provide significant prizing at the SRC Championship including a sleeve of their high end ‘Chrome Soft’ golf balls for all players, Stroke Lab putters and numerous products from their OGIO bag line. The eight team members that win the SRC Championship will be awarded Callaway golf bags (with an embroidered Senior Ryder Cup logo and the caption ‘2022 Champions’);


  • Financial support is being provided by Visit Tucson and Lexus of London;


  • Negotiations continue with several new/returning sponsors who will provide monetary support, prizing and have a presence at some of the playoff events and the SRC Championship – stay tuned.
